Welcome to Clifton Green Primary School

Values and Motto

At Clifton Green Primary School, our school values (Striving for Excellence, Creating Opportunities and Nurturing One Another) underpin all that we do.

We promote these values across all aspects of school life and children, staff and governors turn to them for guidance when making choices and taking action. Our school values foster attitudes which will support children both now, in school, and as they move into adulthood and further learning or employment.

Our school motto, 'Better Never Stops', promotes positive learning characteristics in our children and encourages them to be the best they can be; showing resilience, independence and creativity throughout the curriculum. The motto is part of the legacy of the 2012 London Olympic Games and in 2018 we created a school song to reflect the importance of its message.

In school, you'll find a large Nursery which provides morning or afternoon sessions for 3 and 4 year old children for up to 30 hours and two parallel classes in each year group from Reception to Year 6. There are around 420 pupils attending the school supported by approximately 60 staff.

Our Head Boy and Head Girl are selected at the start of Year 6 and have their own feature in our half-termly newsletter as well as taking part in important tasks such as staff recruitment alongside our School Council.

All of the children and staff in school are given a house to belong to: Lions (yellow), Tigers (blue), Bears (red) and Rhinos (green). During the school day, children earn house points which are collated together to give each house the chance to win the house cup (KS2) or house bear (EYFS/KS1) and each half term the overall house with the most house points is rewarded with additional break time!

We are extremely lucky in school to have a wonderful Harry Potter themed library, large hall, pastoral suite, nurture provision, allotment, adventure play area, forest school area and large field.  All of our children in Years 2-6 have access to an individual chromebook and children in EYFS and Year 1 have access to iPads to support their learning.

We welcome visitors to school to find out more about how we learn and grow together and we would love to show you around. If you're interested, please see the contact page and get in touch to make an appointment.
