Music

What is your first memory of school music? The Christmas show in Year 1? Guitar solo Year 5?

At Clifton Green Primary School, we are invested in providing a music curriculum that inspires creativity, self-expression and encourages our children on their musical journey as well as giving them opportunities to connect with others, igniting a passion for music.

Each week classes have a taught Music session led by SING education. Specialist teachers supported by our school staff provide a highly engaging music session from Nursery right the way up to Year 6. We also have whole class Ukulele sessions each week in Year 4.

We seize every opportunity to showcase our musical passions and each year take part in ‘Young Voices’ and hold various concerts and performances throughout the year. Art

At Clifton Green, we strive to provide an Art curriculum that engages and inspires children to express their individual creativity and to produce their own works of art. Creativity is encouraged from the very beginning of our children’s school experience.
Within EYFS, children are immersed in Art in a child-initiated way, through Expressive Arts and Design. Across Years 1 to 6, children are provided with opportunities to experience a variety of media and techniques and are educated upon influential artists and craft makers from around the world, both past and present.
We aim to equip children with the knowledge and skills to make informed choices and to work with increased independence, showcasing their own creative flair!
